Hong Kong Day 1
This past Mother's Day, my mum and I took a trip to Hong Kong for the weekend and I can't quite tell you much of what happened 'cause all we literally did was shop and eat. haha! No complaints here! I was quite nervous, though, to ask my mum to take my outfit shots 'cause I've never had her take them before and I didn't know how our dynamic would be. However, she really surprised me as she was game to shoot any angle I asked for and didn't mind when I gave her direction. I guess that was her showing me support for my blogging. Thanks mom!

Mexx it up
Day 2 in Hong Kong: Another day of shopping. I think this was actually shot on Mother's Day. Thanks for the photos, mom!
I'm not quite sure how I managed to still walk around in these heels 'cause I distinctly remember limping already since the day before. Now that I think about it, though, I do remember giving up and buying a pair of flats halfway through the day.
I'm actually really glad I got to bring this Mexx top from Manila. I love the print from the moment I saw it and I think these shorts just go with them perfectly.
Admittedly, they're a little short but the long sleeves of the top balance the whole look.

Picnic Polkas
On another day full of errands, I found some time to drop by a friend's place for a quick swim and a picnic.
So this Mumi overnight bag was the perfect size to carry all my stuff (swimmies, wallet, camera etc.).
With a bag as bright & loud as this one, it can be quite difficult to match an outfit that won't clash but compliment it.
I figured this white top & blue plants would be the perfect combo to really make the bag the main accent of the entire look.
Granted, the studs on the collar give it a little more personality.
But notice how the red pops out with the top & jeans as its background.

At BU5
Though this day was pretty hectic, I managed to sneak some time to shoot this. It helps to be in a room full of bloggers. Lissa was nowhere in sight but good thing I spotted David Guison to take my outfit shots at last week's Bloggers United 5. Thank you, David!
Check out the awesome print on these MEXX pants...
I saw them in the store and I just had to have them. It was also quite perfect to wear them on this day 'cause I knew there would be a lot of walking, lifting, and moving around as I learned from Bloggers United 4.
I also wanted to give the outfit a little bit more pop of color rather than going for the usual black heels. So I opted to go for these Vero Cuoio sling backs and this Abby Jocson shoulder bag.
It might be the Swede in me, but I really love blue with yellow. It can sometimes look a little childish or too 'summer-y' but these two shades were just right.
I've actually been wanting to sport this baby for quite a while now. It's great 'cause the size allows me to fit just about everything I lug along with me everyday - and that's saying a lot! haha!
You've probably seen these shades before but I usually just keep about 8-10 pairs scattered in my car so I can just grab one and go.
I've found that it works for me. Maybe 8-10 would be too much for you so try 2-3 first. It's a quick change you can do in the car at any time.

All Tomatoed Out
This may be a bit behind but I wanted to share my outfit when I hosted @tomatoph's #swapkana event in Glorietta 2 just a few weeks back. I was pretty stoked when they said I get to style myself and pick whatever I wanted in the store. So I chose this dress and if the print wasn't enough, I piled on 2 necklaces and this studded belt. It all seemed to go perfectly with the watch and my heels. What do you think?

Hosting the Collection Launch
It's always nice to work with friends. On this specific night, I got to work with Camille, Laureen, & Solenn. They were the brand ambassadors and I, the host. :-) Actually, it's funny 'cause when it comes to having to introduce them on stage, I have to give such a formal introduction when deep down inside, I'm thinking "kung alam nyo lang how silly we all are" lol.
It's actually quite effortless 'cause I know I won't have to struggle to find questions to ask them on stage. It's also nice because after every event, we all get to take each others' outfit shots. In this case, Camille took mine. Thanks, Cams!
Side note- I even had the girls choose backstage which pair of shoes I should wear for the night. They chose these (my tiger Charlotte Olympias). What do you think?

At the end of it all, I was all smiles 'cause I got through the entire script without screwing up! :-) haha! Well, it's really 'cause I got to memorize the script before hand and had good practice time with the events team (eventscape). I still really get nervous from time to time so it helps to have a proper run through before.

My Trip to Paseo de Sta. Rosa
Don’t you just love finding new stores that house great finds at even better prices? Yeah. So do I. So imagine my excitement when my girlfriends and I discovered Paseo de Sta. Rosa in Greenfield City. It’s this cool plaza that holds so many outlet shops for both fashion and home decoration, and restaurants for when you wanna take a break. If you don’t believe me, just check out the cute new items I scored while strolling around.
Where I scored these pieces: Marks & Spencer; Charles & Kieth; 158 Designer's Boulevard; and Bench Depot.
Imagine, in just a few short hours I found 3 different outfits to take me from day to night! And the best part is almost everything was on sale. I felt like I got a deal on everything I bought, which is just the best feeling. Problem is, now that I found these pieces in Paseo, I no longer wanna pay full-price for anything ever again! haha!
I'll post full details of each outfit in my next post, but in the meantime, maybe this post will make you and your friends want to take a little trip down South and do a little shopping yourselves. Who knows?! Maybe you'll see me there again. :-)

Shopping Day!
This first look from Paseo is definitely a little bit more tropical and though it may be rainy season right now, a little color never hurt.
When I saw this top at Marks & Spencer’s I knew I had to have it. It was the last piece on the rack and was two sizes too big but it was just nice and loose enough to give it a more laid back feel.
Throw on some structured shorts and heels for a hint of sophistication then a perfect disposition to carry out the look throughout out the day!
This is my happy dance after a day of shopping!

Shopping Day Part 2
This was the second outfit I scored during my trip to Paseo de Sta. Rosa. The first one was more a day look so I wanted the second one to be a little bit dressier (for nights out / events).
This was actually perfect because I had a birthday party to attend that same night. So I kept the outfit in my car to change into once I got back into the city.
I actually saw this skirt on the window display as we were walking around and I made a comment about how cute it was and the other girls laughed at me ‘cause it was so obvious I claimed dibs on it. So I played it cool and walked away.
That didn’t last long. I walked around for a few more minutes only to walk back into that store and finally buying the skirt.
Let me tell you, I am so happy I did. Obvious ba?

Take it Easy
Here is the last installment of my shopping day in Paseo de Sta. Rosa. I had too much fun shopping and I definitely went over my budget (again). Oh, Nicole! When will you ever learn?
Shopping habits aside, this is how I usually like to dress. I like to keep it simple and easy just 'cause I'm usually driving or running around town and, sometimes, wearing too many accessories can just get in the way. I'll also usually be sporting some sort of flats. But I decided to make an exception this time 'cause I just wanted to wear my brand new heels.
This is also my go-to bag for anything. I've had it for a while now and bought it during our trip to Korea last year. It was quite a painful and unexpected purchase 'cause my other 'everyday bag' broke and so I had to make a decision then and there to get this baby. And it's probably one of the best purchases I've ever made! I've definitely overused it already but it's just so handy. It fits absolutely everything I could need during my day (wallet, camera, make-up, sunnies etc.). Maybe I'll do a post about what's in my bag soon...

Hey guys! Just wanted to share that one of my favorite stores, BCBG, is now open in Resorts World Manila!
Last June 25, I was invited to get out the store’s launch in Resorts World with the launch of their latest summer line, “California Dreamin’”

The New Vios

Jammies
Do you ever just wake up and feel the urge to stay in your pajamas all day? I do - All the time! I guess you could say this would be my outside version of that. I was so comfy all day that it really felt like I was in my 'jammies' walking around. This was perfect, too, 'cause I had quite a long drive / day trip to Tagaytay with my friends. So comfort is key. I only wore the heels during the day. Then I finally retired to my flats when we got there. I obviously didn't wanna be the one holding everyone back with my heels. Lol! What do you think?
Don't you just love this Taylor chain bag from Mixmi Bags? It's so classic that it can go with almost anything. It's definitely been on heavy rotation since I got it. Check out their site to see all the other bags they've got. If you want more of a pop, I suggest the red one. ;)

Tickled Pink
As much as I'd like to pretend that I can be sporty and outdoorsy, I'm really just an old-fashioned girly-girl. As far back as I can remember, I would steal clothes from my mother's closet and play dress up in front of the mirror with some background music to get me in the mood. Apparently, Madonna was my jam (still is). Flash forward a few years, and I still do the same thing. This time, though, I got my own closet to raid. ;)
It's a lot more exciting to play dress up when you really like the dress. So I was pretty giddy when this Korean Rose dress came in the mail. The color alone puts a smile on my face. What really got me, though, was the ribbon detail on the back. This is a great example of what I like to call "business in the front, party in the back"! I saw this dress on their website and I knew it was "the one".
The timing could not have been better when these bracelets came in a day after! Girly galore! I didn't wanna do too much since I was gonna be running around again. Along with the bag, the bracelets were enough of an accessory. Just like every other day, I like to keep it simple and easy.
