So I got bit by the travelling bug yet again. This time, destination: Singapore.
I've been on enough trips to know what I like to wear when I travel. Between airports and lay overs, I usually have to go through numerous security checks and long airport corridors. So I like to wear easy, 'comfy' layers that I can slip on and off at a moments notice.
Thank goodness I scored this Wrangler cardigan to keep me cozy on the five-hour trip to Singapore. As you can tell, very minimal effort was put into fixing my hair and make-up, so this easy addition to what otherwise would be a 'blah' outfit was just what I needed.
It's effortless simplicity allows me to mix and match it with different colors and textures such as this leopard, ombre top.
My favorite thing about it, though, is the fit and cut. Seeing as how my top is not very flattering, the cardigan's gradual slope gives the illusion of a longer, leaner torso - something any girl would always want.
Slap on some good old-fashioned 'sneaks' and I'm ready to go! Thank goodness I wore these, actually, 'cause I had to run across NAIA 3 to catch my flight.
(Prada shades, Wrangler cardigan, TopShop top, Zara leggings, H&M sneakers)
Some travelling attire tips:
- Layer - choose layers that are breathable and comfortable to easily slip on and off during security checks.
- Wear socks! - I'm admittedly a bit of a germaphobe so I like to wear socks to keep an extra layer between my feet and the airport flooring when they ask to remove my shoes during screenings. They also keep you warm when the cabin's temperature gets too cold.
- Keep accessories at a minimum - This I'm not so good at following myself but it really makes your life easier. The last thing you wanna be is the girl holding up the line because you keep beeping at the metal detector. I've been that girl and, trust me, it's quite embarrassing.
