It's always good to be prepared, I believe, especially when you travel. Sometimes, though, you don't really know what to prepare for. That was my dilemma as I embarked on this trip to Bukidnon. Admittedly, I am not well-versed in outdoor living so I had no idea how to pack for this weekend trip to the mountains. All I was told was that it gets cold at night and it's usually muddy. With that much information, I just did what I usually do when I don't know what to expect - I packed for every circumstance and weather I could think of.
While everyone else brought back packs, I brought a tiny luggage. Needless to say, anyone could tell who the 'noob' was. I didn't mind. Just like any other new experience, I embraced it with open arms. I may not have used half of the stuff I brought but at least I had the peace of mind knowing that I'd be ready for anything.
The weather on this particularly sunny day was perfect for a stroll around the reservoir. So I dressed as easy and festive as I felt. If the colors are any indication of my mood, then you could tell I was having an awesome time.
Tip: You may not always have the liberty to bring your entire closet with you when you travel. So try to gather as much information as you can from friends who have gone before you or use the internet. You also don't always have to shop for short trips like these. If you know it's just a one time thing, try to borrow hats or jackets that friends may have lying around. It's a smarter way of changing things up without having to shell out any cash. Just make sure that you return everything in the condition you borrowed it in.
