I remember as a little girl I would get so excited whenever my mom would tell me that we would be having a staycation in the hotel near our house. I didn't care if we didn't leave the city. I just loved jumping on a new bed, watching TV and ordering as much room service as I wanted!
And though I no longer jump on the beds, I still get that same excitement whenever I get to escape my home for just a little bit and have a mock vacation. So when New World Manila Bay Hotel invited me over for another staycation, I just couldn't say no.

During my stay, I got to explore all the amenities of the hotel and if you guys are just looking for a quick break from the city, then I would suggest a quick pamper session at their spa. The coffee body scrub and massage was just divine. And they even have TVs in the room too for people like me who just can't stay put! :)

What really stood out though was the food. I had such a jam-packed itinerary to try all the restaurants that my problem was how to digest and make space for the next meal. I was definitely being stuffed to the brim but I wasn't complaining.

First on the list was the residence club which was constantly full of goodies whenever we'd drop by.

I like the quiet vibe of this exclusive cafe because you could see that everyone got to work in peace while enjoying their snacks and the view of the Manila bay. I think I'll actually start holding some of my meetings here.

For the meat lovers out there, The Fireplace is a definite must try. They specialise in steaks and wine and I definitely found out why. They made us try 4 kinds of steak and paired each of them with a specific wine and every bite was just divine. I wish I remembered what the pairings were but hopefully if you show them this photo, they can tell you what that was. :)

I also loved how knowledgeable their staff was on everything. The waiters really knew what they were talking about and were so happy to help explain anything to me. If you're like me and don't know much about wines, then we should all sign up for their wine tasting class! I'm sure their expert sommeliers would definitely teach us a thing or two so we can impress our friends at our next dinner party! jk.

And when you roll out of bed and are ready for the breakfast buffet, don't forget to leave space for lunch at Li Li!

The authentic Cantonese cuisine is prepared by Hong Kong Master Chef Andy Chan and every dumpling is just so fresh. If you'll notice, they even set the place up to make you feel like you are visiting one of Li Li's apartments from around the world.

If you want to get the full experience, ask for the tea ceremony as well! It's so interesting to see how true they stay to a real tea ceremony and allow you to fully appreciate the beauty and art that goes into your every sip.

I'm definitely stuffed all over again just re-living this stay but boy oh boy am I going back for more. If you guys would like a staycation away from busy Makati and would like to wake up to the view of Manila Bay, then I suggested a visit to New World Manila Bay.
