About a week back, Entice The Salon invited Kryz, Lissa, and myself to try out their services in their first branch in Hanston Square, Ortigas. And, of course, no girl could refuse a free make-over so we made a girls' day out of it.
Lissa and I got a hair coloring treatment while Kryz got a trim and a mani-pedi.
The head stylist, Wiliam Wong, uses his acquired training and experience from Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia to oversee all his clients. His approach was definitely different from what I have seen before but it was cool 'cause I learned so much more about hair care and proper treatments.
He even used this steam machine on Lissa and I to really set the color in rather than the usual hair-steaming "orbs" I'm used to. Apparently, this way is more efficient plus it just looks cooler.
Aside from the nice ambiance and good playlist they had going on, the staff were all really friendly and so accommodating.
Going for makeovers can really be a scary experience because you never really know if you'll get the look you want in the end but William really made us feel comfortable with him. He asked us what we wanted then he would make suggestions based on his professional experience and comes to a common, mutual ground to keep you happy and your hair healthy.
What I liked the most was that William understands how Asian hair is different from European hair and how mine struggles to find the it's calm identity in this temperamental, humid weather.
In the end, I got just what I wanted without the trauma I always dread whenever it's time for another makeover. Here's the final product:
