Good news to all Bento Meal lovers out there: This year, Tokyo Tokyo is having a Bento Festival that introduces two new flavors - the Grilled Pork Teriyaki and Chicken & Ham Katsu!
The Grilled Pork Teriyaki is Tokyo Tokyo’s gift to all grilled liempo lovers (and let’s face it, who isn’t?). It’s a perfect blend of tender juicy pork belly, grilled to perfection and glazed with Tokyo Tokyo’s signature sweet and savoury teriyaki sauce – my personal favourite.
If you crunchy katsu is more your speed, then Tokyo Tokyo’s Chicken & Ham Katsu Bento is definitely the choice for you. It’s an interesting mix of crunchy chicken katsu with ham and cream cheese, coated with Japanese breadcrumbs and deep fried until golden brown.
I heard about this Bento Festival and headed on over to the nearest Tokyo Tokyo branch to try it for myself and I wasn’t disappointed. These meals are so perfect and affordable with everything you need to be fully satisfied. Both meals come with the popular red iced tea, unlimited rice, vegetable misono and miso soup + desert (for the katsu) and sushi rolls (for the grilled pork teriyaki).
