Make Your Own Havaianas 2015

Two days ago, I was invited by Havaianas Philippines as one of their celebrity assemblers and stylist for 10th anniversary of Make Your Own Havaianas movement (#MYOH). The event was held at the Glorietta 2 Activity Center where hundreds of people lined up to get their very own pair of customised Havaianas.

First up on the agenda was to choose my very own pair as I came in heels and needed to be prepared for all the walking and helping I signed up for.

It was quite hard to pick just one option since there are so many color combinations to choose from but I ended up choosing the commemorative slim sole (limited edition) with a silver slim strap and one pineapple pin.

After getting mine done, and a little bit of training, it was off to start helping other people.

I also learned about the 'Havanatics' who really make this a yearly tradition and sometimes even buy 5 pairs at a time! One lady I helped, even said that she was pregnant last year when she went and gave birth the next day! Apparently, she had been having contractions the whole time but pushed through the pain for her love of #MYOH. Now that's commitment...

I even got to make Mikko's flip flops too! Okay ba, Mikko? :)

This was the first time I've done anything like this and I must admit I had a blast! :) Thank you to Gabby (my trainer) and the whole Havaianas crew for making me feel so welcome and able to do what they do best!

This event is going on until May 10, 2015 at the Glorietta Activity Center and select All Flip-Flops and MYOH Pop-Ups Nationwide.
