People always seem to have the idea that Valentine's day is just for lovers but that doesn't necessarily have to be the case. Since, it's a day of love, I look at it as an opportunity to show the people around you how special they are regardless if they be a family member, friend, or lover. Everyone deserves to be shown love! So don't worry if you don't have a significant other come V-day because you can do just what Lissa and I did this week, you can have a date with your friends!
We decided to have our date at Mary Grace Cafe'cause we wanted to take advantage of all the great stuff they had going on this month - aside from all the delicious dishes, of course!
Lissa and I made a deal to put our diets aside (hers more than mine haha!) to try their cheesecake with fresh Strawberries.
The server told us that the regular cheesecake doesn't usually come with fresh strawberries so we knew we had to try it. I, personally, am a sucker for strawberries, especially fresh ones so it didn't take much convincing to get this bad boy. :-)
The other thing I wanted to share with you was the free cake dedication they have this month. Usually these are done with a fee and you have to order it a day before but now that's its free, I'm definitely making my gifts more special by writing a dedication on each of them. They were so sweet to even make one for me on the spot. Anyone who receives this will surely feel extra special - I sure did.
More than anything, though. What really makes me keep coming back to Mary Grace is the great customer service and 'home-y' feel of their cafes. All the servers are so friendly and really have a great understanding of their product and what Mary Grace stands for which is amazing to see as a customer because you really feel like they are welcoming you into their own homes which they are proud of. I can say this honestly because since our date last week, I have been back twice already this week.
If you are like me and are away from home but still crave that home-cooked meal comfort, then go give them a visit and see what I'm talking about first hand. A date with a friend this Valentine's day perhaps? :-)
